1 Common video formats
(1) AVI format (AudioVideoInterleave):
Literal translation is audio and video interleaving, which is a video and audio format widely supported for multimedia and Windows applications. It was developed by Microsoft and was originally used in the Microsoft Video for Windows (VFW for short) environment. It is now Windows 95/98, NT, Most operating systems such as OS / 2 and MAC support. At present, the AVI file format is the most widely used in non-linear editing systems. However, because the AVI format video files in the non-linear editing system are mostly reduced by hardware (non-linear editing cards), ordinary AVI format files cannot be directly used in most cases. Called in a nonlinear editing system, AVI files generated by different nonlinear editing systems generally do not have compatibility.
(2) TGA file sequence (TargaSequence):
This is a bitmap file format developed by Truevision. A sequence of static pictures in TGA format can be regarded as a video file, and each file corresponds to each frame in the movie. These files are generally counted sequentially starting from sequence 01, such as A00001.TGA, A00002.TGA ..., most of the domestic non-linear The editing system can only recognize 24-bit TGA files, and 32-bit TGA files must be converted to 24-bit TGA files before they can be used.
(3) FLC / FLI file format:
The FLC / FLI file format is a color animation file format used in 2D / 3D animation production software such as 3DStudioR4, 3DStudioMAX, AutodeskAnimator, AnimatorPro, etc. produced by Autodesk, which is an 8bit animation file with a small size.
(4) MOV / QT file format:

The MPEG / MPG / DAT file format is compressed with the MPEG-1 standard and is used in VCD video disc players. The image quality is generally difficult to meet the requirements of the non-linear editing system, and can only be used in situations where the image quality is not high. Non-linear editing system backup data generally adopts the following method: the video and audio data is made into a DVD disc, that is, the video and audio data is saved by MPEG-2 compression. A series of vob files can be seen on the DVD disc, and some vob files contain video information ( Some Vob files only contain menu information). Other formats such as GIF and ASF are rarely used in nonlinear editing systems.
2 Video format conversion method
The following describes the video format conversion method based on actual work experience. (1) Convert AVI files with different compression methods into AVI files that can be called by this nonlinear editing system.
The first method: use the Digitools toolbox provided by Matrox directly to convert other compressed AVI files into AVI files that can be called by this nonlinear editing system. This is commonly known as "plus card driver" for AVI files. Process, this method is simple and easy, and the quality of the generated video file image is good, but sometimes the conversion may not be successful.

(2) Other file formats such as MOV / QT, FLC / FLI, MPEG / MPG / DAT can also refer to the second and third methods above for format conversion.
(3) Other conversion methods:
