**Reasons to Purchase**
I already have several mechanical keyboards at home, such as the Pennefather V700 RGB, Ikbc F108 and G87, Cherry MX 2.0, Rasheed Black Widow, and Noppoo 87. But today’s unboxing isn’t about those—it’s about a new keyboard I bought after losing my old one. The story began on the night of August 25th. I was just planning to play DOTA1. Normally, I’d watch live DOTA1 streams while scrolling through social media on my phone during my commute and work breaks. But that day, something unexpected happened—some streamers started making jokes about the game, and it sparked a wave of discussions.
Before I knew it, I found myself watching a DOTA2 stream and ended up buying the game on Steam for 98 dollars. It was actually the first time I had ever spent real money on a video game. After playing DOTA1 for a while, I felt the need to upgrade my keyboard. I used to prefer tea and green switches, but this time I wanted to try something different. I wasn’t sure if the product would be worth it, so I decided to give it a shot. That’s when I went to the Titanium Degree store and chose their e-sports mechanical keyboard. I didn’t hesitate with the switch type—I went with the black shaft, but I picked the white body.
In addition, I also bought a mouse, which I’ll share more about in the next post.
**Unboxing**
The box is brown with a Titanium Degree logo in the top-left corner. The model name is printed in the lower left, and the axis color and backplate material are described in the lower right.
On the side, there's a slogan: “Born for Gaming.â€
Inside the package, everything is wrapped in plastic.
The package includes the keyboard, a dust cover, a dial, three interchangeable keycaps, a manual, and a warranty card.
This keyboard has a 104-key layout, with the NUMLOCK, CAPSLOCK, WINLOCK, and GAMEMODE indicators in the upper right corner.
It comes with the original Cherry Black Switches, which feel smooth and linear with no wobble or click. The actuation distance is 2.0mm, and the actuation force is 60g. Each switch can last up to 50 million keystrokes.
The second-generation satellite stems make it easier to replace keycaps compared to older models. I had an issue with my Noppoo keyboard where the keycaps were hard to remove without breaking them.
This keyboard is designed in collaboration with the WE team, so it comes with two “W†and “E†keycaps, as well as a SKY card keycap. All the keycaps are made from PBT material.
The back design is simple, with no multi-directional routing or splash-proof features. The cable is one-piece, which ensures stability, but I personally prefer USB-cable designs for better portability.
There are four rubber feet on the bottom, and it looks like the white color might not stay white for long.
The adjustable brackets are standard and nothing special.
The height support is set up like this.
It has a gold-plated USB port and an electrostatic magnetic ring design.
**Experience Feelings**
Honestly, switching from the green switch was a bit of an adjustment. First, there's no tactile feedback, and the difference between the keystroke and blue switches is noticeable. However, it feels similar to the red switch, just slightly harder and much quieter. Playing games on it is very comfortable, and typing feels cool too. One of the biggest advantages is the quietness, which makes it perfect for use in a bedroom. I used to use green switches because my wife and kids were on the balcony, but now I don’t have that excuse anymore.
While a keyboard won’t make you a better player overnight, it can eliminate excuses when you’re losing. In fighting games, the advantage of a full-size, no-punch-through mechanical keyboard over a membrane keyboard is obvious.
**Summary**
After using it for a week, I feel that transitioning to the black switch may take some time to get used to. For example, I lost three games in a row when I first played DOTA1 with it. I really didn’t want to throw the keyboard out. It definitely feels different from the previous one. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with this keyboard. It doesn’t surprise me much compared to other mechanical keyboards on the market. I support the brand.
If I had to summarize who this keyboard is for, it’s definitely for SKY fans. Second, it’s ideal for gamers. Personally, I don’t think it’s suitable for coding. I hope future manufacturers will take inspiration from bigger brands by adding features like multi-directional routing and splash protection.
That’s it for today’s unboxing. Next time, I’ll be sharing my new mouse!
