3. Prepare SSDT
Starting with SQL Server 2005, SQL Server unifies the development of business intelligence into a single tool called BIDS (Business Ingelligence Development Studio). In SQL Server Denali CTP3, it is called SSDT (SQL Server Developer Tools), and SQL Server 2012 renamed it to SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools).
This SSDT tool is actually Visual Studio. When installing SQL Server 2012, if the machine does not have VS2010 installed before, the SQL Server 2012 installer will install a partner version of VS2010 locally.
Second, start SSDT, new project
Starting SSDT actually launches VS2010 and then uses the "business intelligence" template to create and manage a BI solution.
Third, create a data source
For the concept of a data source, you can simply understand it as a function similar to ODBC setting data sources.
