Oracle and ImaginaTIon are working together to bring support for the Oracle JDK (Java Development Kit), Oracle Java SE Embedded and other products to MIPS32 and MIPS64 systems.
Java is the foundation for a variety of web applications and a global standard for developing and delivering embedded, web and enterprise content, and applications.
With MIPS32 and MIPS64 Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) incorporating extensive Java support, MIPS-licensed customers can leverage this highly portable language and platform to develop a wide range of applications, including routers, wireless access points, home gateways, and Generation of client (CPE) devices, other network devices, mobile devices, the Internet of Things, and embedded devices.
In addition, ImaginaTIon and Oracle will work together to improve the performance of Java on systems with ImaginaTIon PowerVR graphics processors.
