LED bulb + smartphone =?

The picture below is an LED bulb recently launched by a company in Japan. At first glance, this is a plain light bulb without any peculiarities, but it is not. This light bulb has the features that traditional light bulbs can't. If you use a smart phone, this feature will be more prominent. So, what is the strange function of this bulb?

A: You can use more than 16 million colors of light on your smartphone.

“Before the lighting was a passive product, its existence was like 'air', but now it has become a 'happy” initiative. "Philips Electronics Japan (Headquarters: Tokyo) listed the "hue" home lighting system using LED bulbs in Japan at the end of September 2013. But hue can use a smartphone to freely choose the color that is preferred from more than 16 million colors, and immediately let the light bulb emit the corresponding light. To this end, Philips has LED light bulbs with wireless communication capabilities, which can be controlled by smartphones via Bridge (included) and Wi-Fi routers. The left side of Figure 1 shows the free app for smartphones provided by Philips. On this screen, [1][2][3] is placed on the favorite colored pencil by touch operation, and the LED bulb will immediately emit *2 according to the specified color. In order to express more than 16 million colors, Hue is equipped with red (R), green (G), and blue (B) LED elements*3 inside each LED bulb.

You can also implement a unique new usage of your smartphone. Users can use the GPS function of the smartphone to turn on the hue's light bulb automatically when they go home, or turn off the lights automatically when they leave home. Moreover, for added security, the lights can be turned on when no one is at home, or turned off at any time, which can be remotely operated using a smartphone.

Hue supports the E26 socket for general lighting specifications for home use, so it can also be used for low-cost lighting fixtures purchased at home stores, etc., to illuminate according to the user's favorite color (Figure 2).
