Despite its striking resemblance to Porsche models, particularly the Cayenne, the car failed to attract buyers. This particular model is often referred to as the "domestic luxury SUV," and while its exterior design is impressive—exhibiting sharp lines and a robust aesthetic—it falls short in several critical areas. Stepping inside, the interior immediately reveals the limitations of Zotye’s production capabilities. The dashboard and cabin layout appear to be heavily inspired by Porsche models, but upon closer inspection, the quality issues become evident. Many users report persistent noise problems, especially concerning the air conditioning system and brake components. These issues are particularly frustrating given the relatively short lifespan of the vehicle since its introduction just over a year ago. The rear seating area offers decent legroom and features a panoramic sunroof, yet these amenities seem overshadowed by the vehicle's reliability concerns. At present, even after a year on the road, finding someone willing to purchase this Zotye SR9 at a price point of around 50,000 yuan proves challenging. It’s clear that the resale value is extremely low, making this model less than ideal for potential buyers. Reflecting on this experience, it becomes apparent that Zotye’s strategy of copying luxury brands comes with significant risks. While affordability is a strong selling point, long-term satisfaction depends heavily on durability and performance. As a supporter of domestic automakers, I sincerely hope that future models will prioritize originality and innovation over imitation. Domestic brands must strive to carve out unique identities rather than relying solely on external appearances to sell their products.
