Shenzhen Huaxing Optoelectronics 8.5-generation LCD panel line project was formally established in November 2009 with a total investment of 24.5 billion yuan. It is owned as to 50% by TCL Group and Shenzhen Shenchao Technology Investment Co., Ltd. The project design capacity is 100,000 pieces of glass substrates per month, and the annual output of 26-inch to 32-inch, 46-inch and 55-inch LCD TV modules is about 14 million. The first phase of the project is scheduled to be put into operation in August 2011 and mass production will be achieved by the end of 2011. The second phase of the project will start construction after the first phase of the project is completed, and mass production will be realized by the end of 2012.
