At present, the sales volume of China's capacitors is 63.7 billion yuan, accounting for 4.64% of the sales of electronic components of 1,373.7 billion yuan, accounting for 24% of world sales, ranking second in the world after Japan (26%).

China's capacitor industry was developed under the impetus of localization of color TVs in the 1980s. After entering the 1990s, with the rapid development of the whole-machine market, especially mobile communications, the requirements for high-frequency, high-temperature, high-voltage, and miniaturization of capacitors have become higher and higher. On the one hand, domestic capacitor manufacturers are based on the original introduction. Digestion and absorption, purchase of equipment for research and development, while foreign-owned, joint ventures have also increased rapidly, the capacitor industry has grown rapidly, becoming the world's largest capacitor production and export countries, to meet the domestic development needs of the whole machine and export needs.

The industrial chain of capacitors has basically taken shape. The process equipment and raw materials for the manufacture of capacitors have formed industrial groups, meet the needs of the capacitor industry and are exported overseas. In terms of equipment, domestically produced equipment such as vacuum coating machines, high-precision and high-speed slitting machines, automatic winders, energy machines, automatic welding machines, and automatic fluidized beds can basically meet the demand, but devices for manufacturing high-grade capacitors such as ultra-compact devices Component-type production equipment, lead-free reflow welders, and metallized ultrathin film capacitor production equipment still need to be imported. In terms of materials, raw materials such as polypropylene film, polyester film, metallized strip, and CP line basically meet domestic demand and are also exported to Korea, India, the United States, Brazil, and Japan. However, materials such as high-end electrolytic capacitor paper, high-end electronic paste, ultra-thin high-capacity electronic ceramic materials, and high-performance capacitor films still rely on imports.

Factory management is basically in line with the international community. Enterprises have independent intellectual property rights and products are rapidly upgraded. On the basis of learning advanced foreign management experience, capacitor companies use IEC standards for capacitor product specifications. Major companies have implemented ISO9000 quality management system, ISO14000 environmental management system, OHSAS1800 occupational health and safety management system, and Great Wall CQC, UL, CSA, VDE.
