Since the start of the year, several highly anticipated smartphones have been making waves in the tech world. Among them is the Xiaomi MIX 2S, which has already generated a lot of excitement. Last month, Xiaomi officially announced that the device would be launched on March 27, just a few days ago, the brand released a teaser poster that hinted at the phone’s powerful Snapdragon 845 chipset and its name, “MIX 2S.†The poster also received over 270,000 likes online, showing the massive interest from fans.
Recently, some international sources have shared a leaked render video of the Xiaomi MIX 2S, giving us a closer look at its design. From what we can see, the phone's appearance has been thoroughly refined. Notably, it no longer features a front-facing camera at the bottom of the screen, instead upgrading to a dual-lens setup. This change makes the front panel look much cleaner and more modern. Based on the video, it seems likely that the front camera will either be placed at the top of the device or hidden within a pop-up mechanism, offering a seamless full-screen experience.
On the back, the MIX 2S is expected to feature a dual-lens rear camera system. Some reports suggest that it might use the same ISOCELL 2L3 image sensor found in the Samsung Galaxy S9, which could significantly improve photo quality. Additionally, as an upgraded version of the MIX 2, the MIX 2S is rumored to come with a full ceramic body, offering both premium aesthetics and durability.
As Xiaomi’s first flagship smartphone of 2018, the MIX 2S is expected to deliver top-tier performance. It will feature a 5.99-inch display, powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The rear camera system will include a dual-lens setup with 4-axis optical stabilization, while supporting global frequency bands across six modes and 43 frequencies. With such a powerful configuration, the MIX 2S is set to compete strongly against other high-end devices on the market.
