IKEA to Sell Lemnis Illuminated LED Bulbs

At the recent European Lighting Technology Strategy Conference, Lemnis Lighting detailed the details of its partnership with IKEA, a giant home furniture retailer, to provide LED lighting. Lemnis Lighting, a Dutch manufacturer of LED lamps, and its chief technology officer, Martijn Dekker, announced at the European Lighting Technology Strategy Conference held on Thursday that Lemnis will sign a multi-year sales agreement with Swedish giant home furniture retailer IKEA. It offers high quality, cost-effective LED fixtures.

The first products will soon be sold at IKEA. The first products include 400 lumens and 200 lumens of LED bulbs.

Dekker said: "The price of 45W replacement bulbs is 9.99 euros, the price of 25W replacement bulbs is 6.99 euros, the color temperature of 400 lumen LED bulbs is 2700K, the color rendering index is greater than 85, and the service life is 20,000 hours. The LED design incorporates two Red LEDs and 4 phosphor-coated blue LEDs."

The business partnership established by Lemnis and IKEA is intended to reduce the retail price of LED lamps in the market, which is easy for consumers to accept. Dekker called it a "virtual vertically integrated company," involving retailers, lighting manufacturers, LED manufacturing partners in India, and other supplier partners to share project risks. Our goal is to provide a long-term, large number of 8/klm dollar LED lamps.

The reason why India was chosen as a production base was because the turnover rate of employees in India relative to China was greatly reduced. However, Dekker also said that many components actually come from China.
