4K Live NBA Canada to Launch 4K Ultra-Clear TV Channel

With the continuous development, the traditional 1080P Full HD TV has been somewhat old. The more popular is the 4K Ultra High Definition TV. However, although many users have already purchased 4K ultra high-definition televisions, the lack of film resources is still a problem to be solved. Recently, an open source from Canada's Rogers Communications Company showed that the company is working with the United States NBA to launch live events based on 4K Ultra HD. Let’s take a look.

According to public information, Canada’s Rogers Communications is Canada’s largest telecommunications company and is responsible for cable television distribution and video retailing in Canada. The company said that it is currently working with the United States NBA and British Broadcasting Corporation BTSport channel to conduct 4K ultra high-definition live broadcast experiments in NBA sports events. In a match between the Raptors and Magic teams conducted on January 14th, Canadian Rogers Corporation used 4K ultra-high-definition set-top boxes for transmission tests, and the test results were very successful.

Rogers Canada stated that it will open 4K television program preparations for trials in Canada and the U.S. North. The current program will be dominated by NBA sports events. The user can use a 4K ultra-high-definition set-top box named NextBox to watch the channel name "channel999". During the 4K TV program pilot, users will receive at least 100 hours of 4K program viewing time, in addition to some 4K video content produced by renowned video content provider Netflix. However, it is still not known how to charge 4K TV programs launched in 2016.
